It is a short but pleasant walk from Rostusha (Rostusa) to the Duf Waterfall. It’s not even 1.5 km in one direction with 120 m ascent.
Since parking space is limited in Rostushe, we parked our car at the small parking just before the hospital.
From there you walk uphill and take the trail after the graveyard to the waterfall.
When we were here in summer 2016, this 28 m high waterfall was not very spectacular. It probably is a lot more violent after periods of rain and snow…This short walk gets 4 out of 5 stars.
For hiking in Mavrovo NP you need to register and buy a ticket. Tickets can be obtained online (https://npmavrovo.mk/tickets) or at the information center just outside of Mavrovi Anovi.
