This is a hike of 25 km with about 1100 m ascent.
The hike starts at the crossing of Boulevar Turistichka and Jane Sandanski in Ohrid. There are two bakeries at the start if you want to get something to eat for during the hike (the smaller one which is located about 50 m from the crossing is the best, they make a very decent burek).
The hike takes you close the Monastery of St Petka, which is certainly worth a visit. It also passes the Church of St Ilija near Velgosti.

After about 5.5 km from the start, you can leave the 4×4 road and take a smaller, more interesting hiking trail uphill. You follow this trail for about 1.5 km until you reach the 4×4 road again.
Less than 1 km later you have another option for a shortcut: If you follow the 4×4 road, you will walk about 5 km less. If you take the 4×4 road to the left like I did, you go further uphill into Galicica National Park. This is certainly the most beautiful part of the walk, so I suggest you do the extra walking!

Once you are at the 4×4 to Ramne again, make sure you keep the 4×4 road to the left and do not follow the hiking rail direction Ramne at a certain moment (this is indicated with a waypoint because it was the second time I made this mistake here). Unless you want to go back to Ohrid via Ramne of course…
The last part brings you back to the gas station on the roundabout at Biljana Springs in Ohrid. This is a nice trail downhill named “Pateka na Leko”on OpenStreetMap (Leko’s trail). Several good views of Ohrid. You will also pass the ruins of an Early Christian Basilica from the 5th or 6th century.

A nice but not extremely special hike. I would give it 3.5 stars out of 5.
