This is a short hike of about 1 km in total and 50 m ascent to the Spikovski Waterfall near Pehchevo. It was a 20 minute drive on a narrow asphalt road from our accommodation at Villa River in Pehchevo to the Spikovski waterfall.
The sign next to the waterfall says the following:
“The Spikovski waterfall is located on the river Spikovska, a right tributary of the river Ravna, according to which it obtained its name. An arranged walking trail of approximately 500 m takes you to the waterfall, with installed gazebos and benches for rest. In the very beginning of the trail there is a smaller waterfall. The clean water of the Spikovski waterfall falls from approximately 8 m. During the summer droughts, the water from the waterfall significantly reduces.”

Indeed, the waterfall was far from spectacular when we visited in the dry month of September in 2025.
The mentioned walking trail, benches and bridge are in poor condition. The bridge looks likes it can collapse any moment.

We saw a frog and a woodpecker along the trail.
After visiting the Spikovski Waterfall, we continued to visit the Crnodol waterfall, about 1.5 km further down the same asphalt road. The Crnodol waterfall was a bit more spectacular than the Spikovski waterfall.
