Tresonce (Tresonche) is a small village in Mavrovo National Park. Actually, we barely saw the houses of this village, just the two churches at the entrance of this village. The Church of St Peter and Paul is located at the entrance to Tresonce. The church was open when we visited, but there was nobody around. There are some old gravestones outside the church.

The Church of St Nikola is located on a small hill at the entrance of Tresonce, opposite to the Church of St Peter and Paul. According to an inscription it was build in 1873. The church was closed when we visited Tresonce

This memorial tap is dedicated to the victims of the second world war.

The reason we visited Tresonce was to hike to the Alilica cave, about 3 km from the churches in Tresonce. See Tresonce to Alilica Cave in Mavrovo National Park (7 km) for more information.

In addition to the Alilica cave, there are two other small caves. In one of them this bat was having a break.

In the other cave I noticed some very large bones. After asking around, it turned out that these bones are likely from a horse. See here for more information.

The hike from Tresonche to Lazaropole passes the rather large Kalina Dupka cave.
The deserted city of “Glavino Selo” should also be located somewhere along the hike between Tresonche and Lazaropole, but we missed it because we did not know the exact location. I added the likely location of this deserted city in the description of the hike.
