Velebrdo

Velebrdo is a small village in Mavrovo National Park. We passed through Velebrdo on our way to Trebishte, from where we hiked to Lake Lokuv.

An inscription on the Church of St George in Velebrdo indicates that the church is from 1931.

There is also a mosque in the villa, which looked as if it was from more recent times.

There are good hiking opportunities in the surroundings and the possibility to visit the famous Duf waterfall at the nearby village Rostushe.

Hikes that we did in the environment: Village Bitushe to Krcin peak, a hike above the Duf waterfall, and from the village Janche to Galichnik.
