Morodvis

Morodvis is a small village about 7 km south of Kocani and south of the river Bregalnica.

There used to be an important medieval town called Morobisdon at this place. Remains of a basilica can be found in a fenced off terrain in the village.

The ruins of three churches were found here, built on each others foundations between the 5th and 13th century. Around the church many graves and tombs were discovered.

We visited Morodvis on a day trip from Stip, and during this trip we also visited the archeological site Bargala near Stip and the fortress in Vinica, a village close to Morodvis.
