Kuratica is a small mountain village about 20 km from Ohrid, located north of the road connecting Ohrid and Resen. We shortly visited Kuratica after we had been in Rechica to admire the natural washing machines in that village.

If you like rural architecture, Kuratica is a good place to be. Besides that, there is some eco-tourism in the form of a donkey ride during the donkey safari, something we did not do.
Church of St Nikola
We asked around in the village for the caretaker of the Church of St Nikola, because the church was closed. Some friendly workers went to get her, and she joined us to visit the church which is located on the graveyard. The church of St Nikola is from 1937. It started to pour with rain and we took shelter in the kitchen/dining room next to the church, where we were offered some coffee to wait out the rain.
