Trpejca

Trpejca is the last but one village on the road along the lake from Ohrid to St Naum. The first road to the left after the village Trpejca, takes you through Galicica National Park to Lake Prespa. You may have to pay a small toll to enter the park in the summer.

Trpejca has a small harbor and a narrow beach consisting of pebbles. From here, you can take a water taxi to the Church of St Zaum, which is only reachable by water.

This new church of Trpejca was still under construction when we were there in August 2009. I think it will be dedicated to St Nikola.

The trail is 1.5 km long, in one direction. Due to the easy, accessible terrain and the small height difference, the trail can be done in 30 min. Along the trail you will get information about the natural values of the park and the lake. There are signposts, information panels and tables and benches along the route.
