This is a short hike of 2.6 km with 240 m ascent to the Foja Cave near the village Nova Breznica.
Several years before we visited the Ledena Cave, which is also near Nova Breznica and you can combine a visit to these two caves.

We parked the car next to the main road.

Initially we couldn’t find the right trail and we wandered around for a bit, and found another small cave (indicated as a waypoint off the main track).

Once we had found the Foja cave, it was much easier to follow the right trail downhill back to the car. I have deleted all the unnecessary searching from the GPS track, and edited the track in such a way that it follows the right trail to the Foja Cave and back.

There is a spring in the Foja Cave, and the cave is filled with water. I took off my shoes and rolled up my hiking pants and entered the cave barefoot. The water quickly became deeper until over my knees. The cave is really shallow and you don’t seem to be able to enter it much further.

There is a smaller cave/spring a bit above the Foja Cave.
The cave seems to be a popular watering hole for cattle, as there was a lot of manure around the cave.

There were also a lot of frogs in the water of the Foja Cave.
We combined our visit to the Foja Cave with a hike to the nearby viewpoint at Lake Kozjak, which was very beautiful with amazing views.
This short hike gets 3.5 stars out of 5.
