This is a short hike of 4 km with 200 m ascent with amazing views of the artificial Lake Kozjak.
We combined this hike with a visit to the Foja Cave near Nova Breznica.
It is about 45 minutes by car from Skopje to get to the start.
The Grizzly Mountain Center is at the start of the hike. They offer accommodation in “Igloos”, there is a petting zoo and there are some horses and deer. We had an overpriced coffee, served in paper cups; When we asked for normal coffee cups they refused for unclear reasons. Also the food seems very overpriced at the Grizzly Restaurant so I suggest to bring your own food and drinks for this hike.
The hike is straightforward and easy, the views are stunning the whole way.
It doesn’t happen that often that you get such good views with relatively little effort! This hike therefore gets 5 out of 5 stars!
